Purpose:

Plan International Jordan is seeking an experienced education trainer with demonstrated experience in working with MOE, CBOs, INGOs and/or UN agencies on conducting capacity building training and to review the School Readiness program manual to prepare a training manual and to conduct the program sessions with beneficiaries utilising remote modalities or through face to face.

1. The Organisation

3. Objectives of the consultancy

  • reviewing the School Readiness Program manual to prepare the training manual to conduct the program sessions with beneficiaries through WhatsApp groups.

  • Build the capacity of the volunteers and partner staff from the identified local partners

  • write a report on the training while being provided with the template to be used.

4. Scope of Work

The training will be done to start the implementation of education activities of plan projects with in the project areas (Amman, Irbid, Balqaa, Mafraq and Zarqa).

Key activities:

The consultant should follow the below activities

  • Review MOE School Readiness Program Manual (face to face sessions for children and online parent’s sessions).

  • Join relevant meetings/calls as needed.

  • Work with the MERL team to finalize the monitoring tools as needed.

  • Prepare the training plan for projects teachers.

  • Work with the Education Specialist at Plan Jordan during the process of development and reviewing of manuals.

  • Share the agenda of the training, manual and the automated pre and post assessment with plan before the training date

  • Deliver SRP training.

  • Submit training report which contains the evaluation section to the project team.

  • Review MOE KG curriculum training manual and prepare training plan for projects teachers.

  • Share the agenda of the KG curriculum training, manual and the automated pre and post assessment with plan before the training date.

  • Deliver KG curriculum training.

  • Submit training report which contains the evaluation section to the project team.

5. The Methodology and Suggested Time Frame

6. Roles and Responsibilities of Plan International in Jordan

  • provision of all logistical support for the training participant,

  • provision of all kits related to the training

  • securing the venue of the training

  • Payment method

· submission of final report and training (100% of the consultancy cost)

8. Experience and Qualifications

  • 10 years Expert knowledge of education including ECCD, ECE.

  • 5 years’ Experience in conducting trainings.

  • Expert in MOE curriculum.

  • Expert in Play-Based Learning.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Arabic and English

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and flexible attitude.

  • Ability to work on tight schedules with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to deliver on tight time frames and meet deadlines within agreed budgets.**

9. Ownership**

All documents, project designs, drawings, technical data and other information shall remain the property of the Plan International Jordan and shall be treated as confidential by the consultant(s) at all times. They shall not be made available to any third party whatsoever, in any form, without the prior written approval of a properly authorised employee of Plan International Jordan. The utilisation of all proposals, plans and reports and other information provided by the consultant(s) to Plan International is the property of Plan International and the use thereof is solely at the discretion of Plan International. All documents and other papers, whether in soft or hard copy and whether containing data or other information, provided by Plan International shall be returned complete to Plan International upon completion of the assignment. All documentation and reports written during and/or as a result of this study, or otherwise related to it in any way, shall remain the property of Plan International and no part shall be reproduced or quoted, or otherwise used in any way except with the prior, express and specific written permission of authorised employee of Plan International.

10. Ethical and child protection considerations

  • If the assignment requires the consultant to interface with children therefore the consultant is required to provide a statement on the respect and protection of child rights, human rights and dignity of participants compliant with Plan’s Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy.

  • The consultant shall read and sign Plan’s Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy as fully understood and in agreement to in all respects and shall follow this in all and every respect during the term of the consultancy.

  • The consultant must follow Ethical Principles in a research and obtain written/verbal consent from the targeted population. Permission from elder should be sought if the children under 18 years are involved. Signed informed consent of each targeted population need to be taken after explaining the purpose of the study.
