You will report directly to the Chairman with the support of part-time PAs. This role is pivotal to the Chairman’s business day as well as his philanthropic and political interests.

What you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Gatekeeping and managing the flow of communication and requests for Chairman’s attention
  • Diary management – setting up internal and external meetings, conference calls, zoom etc
  • Anticipating the needs of meetings in particular, ensuring all paperwork in order
  • Maintaining the means to progress items of daily business, ‘progress chasing’ where appropriate
  • Maintaining client and personal contacts database.
  • Email management
  • Dictation / Audio Typing of reports, emails, file notes (shorthand used but not essential)
  • Researching companies, individuals, funds, newspaper reports
  • Liaising with MDs and CEOs of fully owned businesses and the many other organisations
  • Organising business events – Board meetings, social gatherings, drinks parties, Board and other dinners
  • Expenses – maintaining records and making payments
  • Personal banking and investments – monitoring payments and receipts
  • Managing charitable donations including ensuring relevant gift aid
  • Liaising with housekeeping and other staff

The skills you need to bring:

  • EA experience in a family office environment
  • Senior level 1:1 EA experience
  • Evidence of commitment to previous employers
  • Confidence and ability to remain composed
  • Efficient and pro-active
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
