E-Commerce Specialist – 5747

Primary objective of this position:

The E-Commerce Specialist is a key position reporting to the Business Development Manager. The role is responsible to execute and manage e-com related activities of Yale Middle East. The objective of the position is to manage develop and grow the company’s sales revenue through the online channels. The focus of the position will be for the countries and region as covered by the Yale Middle East office.

The successful candidate will be viewed as a key contributor to the growth of the business and the brand overall in the region

Main Duties & Accountabilities :

  • Activate new e-commerce customers in the region.
  • Manage existing e-commerce customers to achieve business in line with the defined objectives of the business.
  • Create on an ongoing basis new product listing in line with product launches or expanding the portfolio on all platforms.
  • Develop and maintain data base of product information including marketing and operations related details.
  • Track collect and report relevant data to show the activity and growth in the e-commerce sales.
  • Set standards, systems, and best practices for new product listings, content creation, distribution, and maintenance.
  • Work closely with different teams (product management, graphics, sales) to provide updated content that will be shared across e-Commerce platforms.
  • Provide support in other areas of Media Marketing, PPC, Email Marketing, SEO, Keyword Research, Google Analytics, Website UX, and Paid social media.
  • Organise, develop, and execute marketing plans in line with the activities of the e-commerce partners.
  • Work closely and maintain relationship with the vendor/category managers at the partner e-commerce platforms.
  • Work closely and participate in regional e-commerce group discussions and meetings. To align strategies applied at regional level with the local partners.
  • Track closely the pricing, content, and other aspects of product listing to maintain them to the highest standards and accuracy.
  • Keep keen interest in the latest trends in consumer behaviour in digital channels and latest modes of digital sales.
  • Onboard new customers following the required due diligence, negotiate favourable terms of business in line with the policies and company objectives.
  • Undertake internal administrative tasks such as reporting for the sales channel.
  • Keep track of operations and supply chain performance with the warehouse or distributer
  • Write meaningful project briefs that provide clear, concise direction for cross-functional teams to execute that meet business requirements and best user flow to meet business objectives and results.
  • Maintain awareness of all approved site assets and promotions before they are deployed on the site as part of the review process.
  • Co-ordinate with the marketing department to develop content to enhance traffic on the product listing.
  • Effectively merchandise products on the site so they are correctly categorized and sorted properly, in order to be optimized to sell

Education / Qualifications:

Essential

  • Bachelor’s and University Degree in Marketing, Business, or, Communications,
  • Work experience in the field of sales is required.
  • 5-7 years sales experience handling sales activities.
  • Computer skills, including MS Office is must
  • Working knowledge of Google AdWords, AMS is required
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, Arabic would be an advantage.
  • Well-organized with attention to detail and Target orientation
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind.
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Have a clear interest/ affinity for FMCG type environment.
  • Curious, open-minded and a fast learner

Desirable

  • International outlook with exposure to working across several markets
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver) desired
  • Experience of working in and implementing marketing activities in Modern Trade
  • Hands on experience of content management and product promotions on 3rd party websites like Amazon, Noon Etc.
