Together with the Executive Leadership team, this role leads the design & execution of CARE’s strategic planning, including 5-year plan development, annual planning and budgeting, and quarterly reviews of progress. The Director ensures goals are clear & measurable, and that plans are integrated across departments and regions. This role manages a Sr Analyst to ensure data drives decision making, and works within and across a broader Strategy and ties: Transformation team. Experience with Board and Executive level presentation and story lining is critical.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree (MBA, MPP, MPA, or MA in International Development or equivalent), 7-10 years experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • International experience or strong understanding of challenges facing the international development sector.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite, and specifically conducting analysis in Excel (e.g., formulas and pivot tables) or PowerBI
  • Storylining

  • Advanced written communications; Planning & Organizing
  • Executive presence and presentation skills
  • Cross cultural communication; Change Management
