Job Summary

The Director of IT, Operations is accountable for the smooth 24/7 operations of all major applications, such as, but not limited to, core line of Business Applications and interfaces across both The Royal Atlantis and Atlantis The Palm hotels. Works independently with direction from the VP of IT, and Director of IT, collaborates closely with other IT subject matter experts and business stakeholders. Manage a large team of IT specialists providing strategic direction and guidance on day to day operations. Provide and maintain consistent delivery of IT support services to the business in order to satisfy both our internal customers as well as our Hotel guests.

About You

Ideally… we���d like you to have a bachelor���s degree in computer science, or a related field, and experience at Director level within a similar role, You will ensure that excellent customer service and communication is a hallmark of the IT department. Ensure effective use of resources to provide a 24/7 1st & 2nd level support service, as well as establishing, administering and maintaining software and hardware installations that provide IT services to all departments across both hotels, driving the IT Operations team to achieve operational efficiencies, liaising with department heads to gather requirements and determining deliverables according to business expectations. Also, managing Vendor/Partner relations for technology supplies and project implementations, as well as interfacing with the business units until project completion. Ensuring Vendor/Partners comply with SLAs in terms of timeframes, deliverables, compliance and performance metrics. You will also be able to demonstrate your IT leadership experience by nurturing and coaching the IT team on technology best practices, process improvement problem solving, skills development, and colleague engagement.

��� Reporting Skills, Administrative Writing Skills, Microsoft Office Skills, Managing Processes, Organization, Analyzing Information, Professionalism, Problem Solving, Scheduling staff, Inventory Control, Verbal Communication. Strong leadership skills, ability to influence at all levels, ability to manage a large diverse team. Vendor management experience ability to drive business value from partners.
��� Strong knowledge and practical experience of application support across hospitality solutions and integrations. (Opera PMS, Simphony, HotSOS, HSIA etc..). Hands on knowledge of Microsoft products and platforms Office 365, Microsoft Windows server and desktop technology���s, Active Directory, SCCM, SolarWinds. MCSE Certification or equivalent.
��� Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot.
��� Thorough understanding of IT security concepts and principles.
��� Experience with low-voltage Category (Cat6) cabling, installation, termination, and troubleshooting.
��� Experience with Ethernet networking, LAN/WAN network technologies, the OSI model, TCP/IP, switching, routing, Wi-Fi, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and VLAN.
��� Experience with architecting, implementing, and maintaining IT systems in a high-availability environment.
��� ITIL and ITSM practical experience and knowledge.
��� Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of VMware and virtual machine technologies.
��� Storage EMC/NetApp.
��� Practical experience managing backup Solutions and Disaster Recovery.
��� BA in computer science or related field.
��� Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
��� Strong transformational leadership skill.
��� Strong organizational skills.
��� Strong administrative abilities.
��� Has previously worked in large scale dynamic environments.
��� Ability to work under pressure, manage ambiguity, change and time constraints
