As a Director, Incident Response you will operate within our Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) As part of this role, you will provide leadership and oversight over operational services including threat monitoring, threat hunting & incident response.
You will contribute to the implementation of the overall Novartis information security strategy related to cyber security defense and operations.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Define, develop and implement global cyber security operations and programs in line with Novartis information security strategy. -Stay up to date with industry trends and current security practices.
- Plan and implement technical and nontechnical development strategies for continuous development of CSOC analysts and leaders.
- Ensure security detection, protection, response, and recovery standards, processes and procedures are up-to-date, maintained and followed.
- Responsible for recommending, configuring, operating, maintaining and enhancing relevant security systems and tools globally, based on contextual information and current threat landscape
- Oversee vendor contracts for Cyber Security Operations Centre
- Establish key security performance indicators that ensure proper service delivery and continuous Security Operations Centre service improvements.
- Define metrics, gather and regularly report to CISO, ITLT and identified stakeholders on risks and cyber security threats, as well as state, maturity and value derived from the Security Operations Centre services.
- Define, develop and implement global cyber security operations and programs in line with Novartis information security strategy.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and current security practices.
- Ensure security detection, protection, response, and recovery standards, processes and procedures are up-to-date, maintained and followed.

Minimum Requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
- 12+ years of experience in Incident Response / Computer Forensics / CSOC team / Threat Hunting or related fields
- Professional information security certification, such as CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 auditor / practitioner.
- Technical certifications such as CFCE, GCFA, GCFE, GREM, ENCE, CCE.
- Experienced IT administration with broad and in-depth technical, analytical and conceptual skills
- Experience in leading and building highly motivated and technical global teams Experience in reporting to and communicating with senior level management (with and without IT background, with and without in-depth risk management background) on incident response topics
Nice to have:
- High levels of initiative and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to work independently towards established goals
- Other certifications such as CIA, CISA or CRISC would be advantageous.
