Here’s where you come in:

As the Director, Humanitarian Policy and Advocacy, you will be responsible for setting and directing the global humanitarian advocacy agenda, leading the global policy advocacy team, and effectively coordinating across World Vision Partnership functions and structures. You will bring direct experience in humanitarian response and maintain a robust network of key contacts with peer agencies, humanitarian networks, and UN agencies and donor governments. You will be an exceptional manager of diverse teams, able to attract, maintain and grow talent through training and mentorship. You will have excellent negotiation and communication skills, and a solid record of producing original research, publications, and thought leadership that have influenced major policy and decision makers.

Requirements include:

  • A post graduate degree in a relevant field (equivalent of a Master’s in international or public relations, international development, or law)
  • 10-15 years relevant job experience, including in management, with significant time spent in active humanitarian response contexts, working on humanitarian policy advocacy, research, and/or communications
  • Excellent people management experience and skills
  • Communication skills in English, French highly desirable
  • The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time, including to humanitarian response environments
