Tasked with developing and growing JCI’s digital business, Open Blue is at the forefront of digital solutions for smart and healthy buildings. This role as Director, Digital Portfolio Leader will lead the development and optimization of the portfolio through aligned cooperation with the Digital Leadership Team.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering Excellence, you’ll be responsible for working closely with CTO to manage digital investments across the Open Blue and FM portfolios, conduct digital board meetings, lead the development of the Open Blue Long-Range Plan (LRP), support development of board presentations and organizational strategy, and coordinate with Finance on the development of business KPIs.

As the leader for the digital portfolio, you will work across the digital leadership team to drive a cohesive view of digital investments, tying value and cost transparency to each. You will work across this digital leadership team to develop the Long-Range Plan for the organization work to assure alignment across Product Management, Sales, Finance Engineering and Operations including metric and KPI alignment. In this role, you facilitate the development of the material (working with the CTO) to apprise both the digital board and the JCI Executive Council of organizational progress. Lastly, you will work closely with the CTO articulate both near-term and longer-term digital business strategy.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, we would expect demonstrated experience with:

  • Overseeing the development and management of digital/software portfolios (5 years+)
  • Experience in working in global software and agile organizations
  • Collaborating across functions to develop business strategy
  • Developing KPIs to align portfolio targets and the cadence to measure performance
  • Demonstrated ability to build the content for executive leadership readouts
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and reasoning skills
  • Knowledge of engineering and design of software products
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
