CARE USA seeks a strategic, programmatic, and results-oriented technologist to establish and strengthen our capacity to support Digital Technology portfolios in CARE USA managed country offices and digital development programs. Success in this role will require deep knowledge and experience with scaling technology solutions in both country level operations and enterprise global programs, ability to prioritize and work with various stakeholders across CARE’s global network, and provide guidance and direction to a wide array of innovative programs.

This role, Director of Field Solutions, is a senior leader of the CARE USA Digital Team and is responsible for field technology strategy development, business capabilities roadmap, field product investment prioritization, and business relationship management. This role manages field technology portfolio and functions as the bridge between country offices, programs, and CARE USA Digital team. Understanding of innovative local technology needs and operational requirements to scale solutions globally are essential for this role. Closely collaborating with cross functional teams, the position drives field operation efficiency by reducing duplicated technology investments, maximizing reusability, aligning field digital activities with the global product roadmap, and promoting enterprise operation standards. The Director of Field Solutions collaborate closely with CARE USA Country Offices, Development Program Leads, product owners, and Digital leadership team. This position reports to the CIO of Digital and manages the Digital Field Solutions Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise digital capability roadmap and standards – collaborate with Country Offices, Development Programs, and Digital Team to develop, implement and maintain Enterprise Digital Capability Roadmap. Ensure alignment with CARE USA global standards and vision. Research relevant technology trends and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions that provide the organization with a competitive advantage and increased productivity.
  • Global strategic alignment and collaboration with CARE Member Partners -Actively participate and contribute to CARE International global programs and initiatives by serving as a digital technology advisor and/or subject matter expert in relevant fields.
  • Employee Engagement and Team Management – Establish a collaborative working environment among Business Partners, IT Teams, and Strategic Implementation Partners by working on planning, design, and technology initiatives together.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer science, information technology, or other relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting digital solutions in multiple countries as a Technologist.
  • 5-7 years’ experience designing, implementing and supporting local and enterprise business applications.
  • 3-5 years’ experience supervising and managing direct reports.
  • Experienced in Cloud Infrastructure Technologies: Microsoft Azure and Office 365 preferred.
  • Project management skills, preferably using agile methodology.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain customer focus while handling multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, enabling to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
