Ayuda en Acción

Ayuda en Acción is a Spanish NGO founded in 1981 with the aim of collaborating to improve people’s living conditions. It currently works in 21 countries distributed in Latin America, Africa and Europe. It has been present in Venezuela since 2018, responding to the vulnerability of its population through the development of projects related to food security. At this moment, the organization is reviewing its strategy in the Venezuela program with the aim of increasing its intervention, betting on programs linked to the generation of opportunities for the population by supporting businesses and livelihoods that make it possible to improve people’s quality of life.

Objective of the position:

  • Develop the country strategy in their area of ​​responsibility, together with the Country Director. Direct the planning, execution and monitoring of cooperation and financing programs in accordance with the strategy and objectives approved for the country and institutional priorities, to ensure the design, execution and impact of cooperation programs, obtaining public financing and private sector, the generation of strategic alliances and the implementation of corporate methodologies on time, quality and budget.

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare, together with the Coordinators of their field, a proposal of strategy and objectives in their matter, taking into account the institutional, regional strategy and corporate priorities, provide strategic, technical and economic advice for its preparation; Communicate it to your direct team, carry out continuous monitoring of the degree of progress, identify internal or external variables that affect the country strategy or its implementation, periodically report the degree of progress to your manager, propose corrective measures in case of deviations both in its execution as in income, costs and margin of the projects or established objectives.
  • Identify public or private funders, get contacts and strategic alliances . Hold meetings with funders and strategic actors that allow the identification of projects and their design. Presentation and positioning of projects before potential funders, as well as ensuring their monitoring and accountability.
  • Participate in networks, forums and relations with national, international and governmental organizations and the media that facilitate and position the strategy and objectives of the Venezuela program.
  • Identify, negotiate and supervise the activity of the implementing actors of programs and projects; coordinate the activities that allow the implementation of knowledge and its management. Guide and generate the intervention strategy with the implementing actors, ensuring the intervention logic defined for the program and generating added value for the actors. Propose new actors and the necessary coordination between them for the formulation of programs.
  • Design projects to be standardized in all territories or scalable to the entire Organization and present them to the person in charge. Ensure the dissemination of knowledge and the implementation of methodologies or institutional tools.
  • Establecer, junto con su equipo de Coordinadores/as, los presupuestos, planes operativos y objetivos específicos de sus ámbitos funcionales en base a la estrategia, objetivos y presupuesto del país y los objetivos corporativos aprobados y presentarlos a la validación de su responsable.
  • Aprobar la planificación de actividades a realizar por los/as Coordinadores/as en los territorios y en la Oficina Nacional, llevar a cabo su seguimiento y evaluación, asesorar y emitir recomendaciones en aspectos técnicos, financieros y de gestión, tanto al personal de Ayuda en Acción, como de los actores locales implicados en el proyecto.
  • Reportar a responsable y/o a Financiación (corporativo) el mapa de financiadores identificados, las propuestas a presentar o presentadas y el estado de situación de cada convocatoria, así como solicitar colaboración o recursos para la elaboración de propuestas.
  • Dimensionar, junto con la Dirección, las necesidades de recursos humanos (incorporaciones, promociones y desvinculaciones); participar en la selección; identificar y aprobar necesidades de formación interna y externa; supervisar la distribución de los objetivos en el resto del equipo; realizar la evaluación de su desempeño; identificar personas clave en determinadas materias.

Requisitos

  • Estudios universitarios en Ciencias Sociales/Políticas y/o afines.
  • Mínimo 5 años de experiencia previas de trabajo con organización reconocida de la sociedad civil
  • Mínimo 5 años de experiencia previa de trabajo en roles similares
  • Experiencia demostrable en gestión de proyectos y diseño estratégico.

Imprescindible

  • Español: C2: Profesional, Nativo.
  • Inglés B2: Medio,

Movilidad Geográfica

  • Nacional e Internacional.

  • Nacionalidad venezolana o residente con permiso laboral amplio para trabajar en Venezuela
