We are looking for a Digital Transformation Leader that shares our consumer-focused passion to help us transform today’s fragmented digital healthcare journeys into tomorrow’s intuitive/seamless experiences.

Our team is leading the charge in transforming Intermountain into a more digital consumer focused health care system. The Digital Transformation Leader works ahead of software build teams to prepare the path for new product and feature opportunities. As a consultant on this team, you have the opportunity to lead cross-functional working groups, create/manage project plans, evaluate vendors, and plan out future digital initiatives. Stakeholders will look to you for the best recommendations to turn consumer/business problems into potential future solutions. Product management and engineering will lean on your project management expertise to help turn the vision into a reality that drives value. You will interact frequently with senior leadership as you recommend solutions and guide these critical projects.

Scope

The Digital Transformation Leader reports to the E-Business Director, and is responsible for leading and consulting on assigned digital projects. They coordinate with cross-functional groups from across the organization including, but not limited to technology, product management, consumer experience, marketing and communications, clinical, finance, operations, legal, compliance, etc. Potential projects include implementation of large scale and highly complex digital solutions.

Job Essentials

  • Identifies, scopes, and resolves issues threatening to delay project, initiative, product, or program deliverables
  • Identifies and engages appropriate cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate key decisions and alignment
  • Develops criteria, analysis approach, and framework to break down complex clinical, operational, consumer, and/or technical issues to inform proposals and recommendations
  • Refines and improves processes to accelerate digital initiatives
  • Develops and delivers polished presentations to senior and executive leaders
  • Establishes timelines, assigns tasks, and ensures completion of digital project deliverables
  • Conducts technology vendor analysis, deploys proof of concepts, facilitates contracting process with Supply Chain, leads Pilots, and develops scalable implementation plans
  • Develops and tracks learning plans for new technology solutions including quantitative and qualitative metrics

Minimum Requirements (level III)

  • Master’s degree. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • Experienced project manager or consultant with exceptional track record
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical ability
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, navigating logistical obstacles, and demanding work environments
  • Thrives in developing solutions to complex and unique challenges
  • Rigorous and thorough technical and operational analysis
  • Exceptional ability to develop project plans, assign project work, set priorities, and review completion of tasks and quality of deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to work through iterative analyses and agile methodologies
  • Able to effectively articulate complex ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work independently and manage small engagements or parts of large engagements
  • Works independently, proactively generates value, coaches and mentors others

Minimum Requirements (level II)

  • Master’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of consulting or project management experience. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated analytical ability
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, navigating logistical obstacles, and demanding work environments
  • Effectively develops solutions to complex and unique challenges
  • Rigorous and thorough technical and operational analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to develop project plans, assign project work, set priorities, and review completion of tasks and quality of deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to work through iterative analyses and agile methodologies
  • Able to articulate complex ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work independently and manage small engagements or parts of large engagements with guidance.
  • Works independently and proactively generates value

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare technology or digital (web/mobile) experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • CPHIMS or Agile certification

Physical Requirements

  • Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
  • Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
  • See and read computer monitors and documents.
