DESCRIPTION

AWS Professional Services accelerates customer business outcomes by collaborating with customers through work streams to use AWS Services and transform the way they operate or to allow them to expand their business offerings. You will be on teams that are on the front line of helping customers succeed using AWS technologies. You will propose, architect, and implement transformational cloud-based solutions for customers; making customer success a reality using AWS cloud as an enabler and seeing the impact in real-time drives teams to explore new frontiers in leveraging AWS for customers.

The Digital Transformation Customer Delivery Architect (CDA) is a growth role within AWS Professional Services. This is a role where you will follow a prospect-qualify-deliver model supporting AWS’ most strategic customers. The CDA partners with AWS Strategic Customer account teams, professional services sales colleagues and Aering teams to dive deep with customers and collaborate to develop and close dial-moving proposals, and engages with delivery teams to ensure customer outcomes are met.

You will be in a role which is a hybrid of pre-sales and hands-on delivery assurance. During the sales process, you will be responsible for understanding customer business context and desired outcomes, defining a high-level solution (which could include a bespoke combination of AWS services and/or pre-existing AWS offerings), estimating the overall implementation effort, and helping the sales team socialize and gain approval from the customer. During the delivery phase, you will be responsible for providing oversight to ensure that the development team is delivering the solution as envisioned and engaging as needed to address technical issues and/or proposed scope alterations.

If you combine technical and business acumen, relentlessly focus on business problems and opportunities, and create clarity and focus out of ambiguity, then apply for this position today. It is also important to have a proven track record of developing trust-based relationships with senior personnel (i.e. VP and CxO level) across an organization and of delivering IT enabled outcomes across a variety of complex environments and organizations. Expectation is that you will focus on sales-related activities 70% of the time and on program and project oversight 30% of the time. As this is a customer facing role, you be required to travel to client locations to deliver professional services when needed. Travel requirements, on average, will be less than 25%.

Do you have what it takes to bring yourself, your customers, and your team to the next level?
