Subject: Consultancy Services – Ajira Poa Digital Jobs for the Youth

Contracting Authority: DanChurchAid (DCA) Kenya

In Kenya, DanChurchAid (DCA) works with refugees and local communities in Turkana, West Pokot, Baringo, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nyandarua, Nakuru, Busia and Siaya counties to enhance peace, livelihoods, and resilience and implements projects directly and through local partner organizations.

DCA Kenya, invites qualified service providers (individuals or firms) to respond to this advertisement.

Consultancy services needed: Deliver one consultancy package with the following components:

  1. Onboarding and training of a special Cohort of 100 youths in AI related digital jobs in the Ajira Poa project using a TVETA approved curriculum.
  2. Providing access to resources such as training facilities, equipment, software licenses, and learning materials/online platforms needed for conducting AI training for the special cohort.
  3. Matching participants with suitable employment or internship opportunities based on their skills, interests, and career goals within the field of digital jobs in AI.
  4. A “learn to earn” model where youths are skilled on AI and employed as taskers within the establishment.

Geographical area of the assignment is Nakuru County.

Interested individuals/firms should provide the following information to the Contracting Authority using the contact details below:

Provide the following information (mandatory documents)

  • Brief company profile with the company’s name, contact details and a brief background (for firms/companies);
  • Company’s statutory documents (Certificate of registration or incorporation, CR12, KRA Pin and a Valid Compliance certificate) Individuals to provide copy of ID card and KRA PIN of director.
  • List of your current clients and their contact details.
  • A summary of the skills and experience of the proposed lead consultant and the consultant(s) have together with their CVs showing relevant previous assignments, education level and the details of at least three referees. Maximum, 3 pages.

Below is the required education level and years of experience;

  • Relevant master’s degree(s) in the social sciences, business/commerce, project management, development studies, political science, or any other related area of study.
  • Minimum of seven years relevant work experience in entrepreneurship training and digital jobs creation, managing digital hubs in Kenya.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and management of projects with youth empowerment in Kenya will be an added advantage.
