Digital Fundraising Insight & Optimisation Intern

Sightsavers is looking for a Digital Fundraising Insight & Optimisation Intern to work within our expanding team in the Fundraising and Marketing department.

Salary: £18,018 per annum (Real Living Wage)

Location: UK remote – with occasional travel to Haywards Heath, when required

Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: Option to work 4-5 days per week with some flexibility around hours worked and some home working.

The Digital Fundraising team is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive individual to support the delivery of our digital optimisation programme to help increase income across our digital channels. The ideal candidate will be data and results-driven, with an interest in learning digital analytics and developing ideas on how to drive donations on our website.

This position is for six months with the option to work 4-5 days per week, and you will be paid the Living Wage. You will have a passion for all things digital and want to develop your skills, knowledge and experience across platforms while gaining practical third-sector experience.

Main Responsibilities

The position will work with the Digital Insight & Optimisation Lead to support the delivery of A/B testing and digital activity to grow income. This includes:

  • Supporting with day-to-day research tasks
  • Assisting with the delivery of website A/B testing and brainstorming opportunities to raise income online
  • Helping to build a digital analytics knowledge base by creating articles and videos
  • Assisting with monitoring and reporting on digital fundraising activity to help the team deliver against their targets
  • Shadowing members of the digital fundraising team on specific projects to provide support where needed.

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • A passion for all things digital and the ability to demonstrate this
  • Ability to research and analyse information accurately, and produce high quality written work
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and activities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently
  • Strong IT literacy
  • A strong interest in fundraising and the third sector and a commitment to equal opportunities for all

A degree is not required for this role however you will need to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and an interest in data and analytics.
