Digital Engagement Intern

Farm Credit Illinois supports rural communities, farm families and agriculture with reliable, consistent credit and financial services, today and tomorrow. We are a farmer owned and directed cooperative serving more than 16,000 farmer, rural landowner, and agribusiness voting stockholder members in the southern 60 counties of Illinois.

As a Farm Credit Illinois Digital Engagement Intern, you’ll have opportunities to learn about agriculture in central/southern Illinois, gain valuable hands-on experience, see a project through from start to finish, collaborate throughout the Marketplace Engagement Department (MED) and Association, and become part of a community-oriented team working to serve farmer-members.

Responsibilities/Duties

Specific Responsibilities Include

• Writing and editing news releases, newsletter articles, and educational content
• Creating social media strategy, curating content, and monitoring results
• Assisting with graphic design projects and video production
• Researching topics and keywords
• Managing and archiving data

Required Qualifications

• Strong writing and communication skills
• A knack for social media
• A familiarity with Adobe Products and interest in graphic design
• A detail-oriented eye
• Working knowledge of AP Style
• The core values of family, integrity, relationships, expertise and passion

In addition, candidates for an internship position must be enrolled as college students during the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters with the intent to be enrolled as students in Fall 2023 as well.

Details

Hybrid hours for the spring 2023 semester (10-12 per week) and full-time hours based out of the Mahomet central office during the 2023 summer are available. Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter by December 9th, 2022.
