Historically, our educational strategy provided application training through on-site or telephone delivered instruction. Over the last 2 years we have been adopting a blended approach to training incorporating digital learning supported by a team of onboarding specialists. We are now evolving our digital content to increase engagement and retention of critical skills.

This role offers a hybrid working model, with the majority of time spent working from home, but with posibility to travel to our Coventry office as and when required.

This Will Include 3 Main Objectives

The role of the Digital Content Designer, is to work with instructional designers and content creators to provide design expertise in delivering high quality digital training and service media.

  • To create engaging content that optimises knowledge and skill transference to internal and external customers, optimising on demand training and reducing the reliance on instructor led training.
  • To enrich our support material and assist in the continual improvement of the support knowledge base, encouraging self-service through rich, engaging, accurate and easily accessible content.
  • To ensure that all customer facing content is engaging and easily accessed, taking advantage of the latest technology.

While the role predominantly focusses on content generation it will encompass additional activities that assist the delivery of training and supporting customers.

Located within the Service Team, the job holder will provide high quality services to internal and external customers and stakeholders across the business to ensure a positive and consistent experience from start to finish.

A successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task and switch priorities according to the tactical needs of the business, be self motivated with strong attention-to-detail, have excellent copywriting/editorial and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude, good organisational skills and an appetite to take on new challenges.

Key objectives

  • Work with the Head of Customer Education and Digital Learning Manager to develop and deliver high quality and engaging on demand training content for internal and external ParentPay Group customers.
  • Work alongside subject matter experts to ensure key instructional details are met, as well as maintaining a consistent artistic delivery.
  • Create and deliver meaningful and impactful content across all group products.

Job Functions

  • Ability to work with different business stakeholders to create targeted plain English customer communications.
  • Write engaging long form content designing to improve our relationship with customers.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Google tools would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premier Pro and/or After Effects and image editing software (Photoshop or similar)
  • Assist in writing support material (emails, social media, web content, letters, brochures, e-newsletters, case studies, help documents, service updates etc).
  • Interviewing and discussing customers product experience for use in case study material.
  • Use existing processes, workflows and planning tools to create multi-channel campaigns.
  • Brief and liaise with third party marketing and print agencies as required.
  • Ensure a high quality, consistent customer experience in terms of timeliness of information, brand compliance, copy style and content.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of ParentPay, Schoolcomms, and other associated systems (full training will be given).
  • Support any additional tasks assigned by the Senior Marketing Executive or Marketing Manager.
  • Actively contribute ideas to the team in order to drive marketing activity, business growth, reduce costs, drive efficiency and raise quality.

About You – Essential Skills

  • Established background in content and social Marketing / Communication
  • Highly proficient in commonly used business software including MS Windows / Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, PremierPro)
  • Creative and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Good understanding of IT systems
  • Confident and articulate communicator and presenter
  • Confident in providing voice over to instructional video content
  • Strong copywriting and/or editorial skills
  • Capable of building strong relationships and collaboration with key stakeholders, internally and externally
