Overview:
A Senior Java Engineer with a strong understanding of Java, Spring Boot, Cloud Infrastructure, and REST API. Will work with technical teams to build, test, and maintain innovative solutions.
Role Objectives:
Design and implement highly available and scalable applications
Distinguish/combine relevant technologies to architect the correct solution
Leverage expertise in Spring Boot and REST
Apply best practices that drive agility and quality
Scale individual unit tests into application-wide test suites
Partner with DevOps to enhance automated build, deployment, and monitoring processes across applications and environments
Understand, review, and influence long-term capacity planning and technology investments
Review technical designs and perform code reviews
Work closely with Business Stakeholders, Project Management, Technical Architects, and development team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and/or its equivalent required
Minimum 4-6 years’ related experience, 4+ years of Java programming
Comfortable designing and enhancing REST APIs
Skilled, passionate about software development, and eager to expand their influence in surrounding areas
Software craftsman who values quality over quantity
Experience with Cloud Infrastructure, notably AWS and Google Cloud Platform
Experience mentoring junior engineers within a team
Comfortable working with Git
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
