InfoTech Resources is seeking an experienced Sr. IAM Engineer for a six (6) month contract-to-hire position with our client in Minneapolis, MN (100% Remote Flexible). The Sr. IAM Engineer will be responsible for the development, delivery and management of consumable identity management technologies, processes, and integrations to support the client’s lines of business. This includes designing, building, and defending scalable, secure, and robust systems; defining security requirements for operational systems and networks; helping the IAM team and organization understand advanced cyber threats; and creating strategies to protect networks. Communication skills are critical because the Engineer collaborates with other IT teams and non-technical users to ensure business needs are met. Candidates must pursue continuous process improvements to the IAM systems. Background with Microsoft Security software tools is strongly preferred, particularly Azure IAM, Active Directory, and Entra services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides technical leadership in the execution of the IAM program roadmap across the enterprise by delivering expert guidance and solutions engineering services as part of initiatives, projects, and day-to-day operations. Stays current with emerging identity technologies, solutions, and best practices. Advises IAM Manager on IAM-related risk and security posture.
Provides technical leadership in the ongoing operations of the IAM team, processes, architecture, and tools/technology. Performs systems analysis of IAM infrastructure, provides guidance, realignment, remediation, and solutions that improve quality of services provided by various IAM platform systems.
Research, design, and implementation of new IAM security controls. Build integrations between IAM systems and other IT and LOB systems.
Provides direct support of IAM systems and tools, including installation, configuration, security, and maintenance.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in CS, SE, IS, or equivalent experience.
CISSP, CISM, or CISA certifications are preferred, but not required
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
8+ years of experience in an information security role
3+ years of experience in identity and access management.
Expert level understanding of modern identity management protocols, standards, frameworks, federation technologies and solutions.
Strong problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and ownership skills.
Proficiency with cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-prem IAM models.
Thorough understanding of security protocols, methodologies, and controls.
Knowledgeable in the SDLC and web development technologies.
Ability to communicate technically complex and ambiguous concepts into common, user-friendly terms.
Ability to understand and articulate business imperatives as well as the business impact of IAM services, technologies and policies.
