Genesis10 is seeking a Sr. Identity & Access (IAM) Engineer for a Right to Hire with our client in Minneapolis, MN

Summary:

Under the direction of the IAM Manager, the IAM Engineer Sr is a technical leader who is responsible for the development, delivery and management of consumable identity management technologies, processes, and integrations to support Client lines of business and their respective portfolios. This includes designing, building, and defending scalable, secure, and robust systems; defining security requirements for operational systems and networks; helping the IAM team and organization understand advanced cyber threats; and creating strategies to protect networks. Communication and professionalism are paramount, as this role requires collaboration with other IT teams as well as non-technical business professionals to ensure business needs are continually met. This leader must keep current with changing technology, industry best practices, and standard security frameworks, and will be challenged to contribute to innovation of new concepts and ideas and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities:
Provides technical leadership in the execution of the IAM program roadmap across the enterprise by delivering expert guidance and solutions engineering services as part of initiatives, projects, and day-to-day operations. Stays current with emerging identity technologies, solutions, and best practices. Advises IAM Manager on IAM-related risk and security posture.
Provides technical leadership in the ongoing operations of the IAM team, processes, architecture, and tools/technology. Performs systems analysis of IAM infrastructure, provides guidance, realignment, remediation, and solutions that improve quality of services provided by various IAM platform systems. Works closely with architectural design teams on identifying, problem solving and resolving issues that impact identity access management.
Research, design, and implementation of new IAM security controls. Build integrations between IAM systems and other IT and LOB systems. Identifies efficiency-generating opportunities such as new IAM models and IAM solutions.
Provides direct support of IAM systems and tools, including installation, configuration, security, and maintenance.
Participates in scheduled and unscheduled weekend and after-hours system maintenance and support. Performs rotational on-call duty.
Mentors and trains junior level staff
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems,
or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification
Master’s degree in relevant field
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
Required:
Expert level understanding of modern identity management protocols, standards, frameworks, federation technologies and solutions.
Strong problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and ownership skills.
Proficiency with cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-prem IAM models.
Thorough understanding of security protocols, methodologies, and controls.
Preferred:
Knowledge of all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Knowledge of web development technologies.
EXPERIENCE
8+ years of experience in an information security role
3+ years of experience in identity and access management.
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with business managers, Enterprise Architecture, IT engineering and IT operations staff.
Ability to communicate technically complex and ambiguous concepts into common, user-friendly terms.
Ability to understand and articulate business imperatives as well as the business impact of IAM services, technologies and policies.
Ability to mentor and provide coaching to team members.
