Who You Are
You are partway through your education, and you are wondering how all the wonderful concepts you have learned get applied. You like to work hard and maybe even have some work experience in retail, restaurants, or some sector of the service industry. You may be involved in a competitive sport. You might even have experience as lifeguard!
At Benevity, problem solving, troubleshooting and code fixes are core elements of your day. Complexity intrigues you, change excites you and automation inspires you. You’re cool and methodical during service disruptions, because you enjoy the camaraderie of solving problems with your teammates. And above all, you’re a versatile learner with lots of empathy for colleagues who are exploring new cloud technologies to build Benevity’s future.
Your role
- Gain exposure to the key pillars of Site Reliability Engineering
- Learn extensively about AWS and all the services it has
- Work on a specific project and meet deliverables during your internship
- Be a great teammate
- Write code (Terraform, python, bash, ansible, php, java)
- Test code (pytest, inspec, awspec, kitchentest)
- Get exposed to many platforms and how to integrate them (AWS, NewRelic, PagerDuty, Jira, Confluence…)

- You are a learn a lot, not a know it all
- Comfort with an outrageous number of acronyms
- An open mind and willingness to ask questions
