What We’re Looking For

The Liatrio DevOps Apprenticeship program is a year-long formal employment program for talented college students who have great potential and who know that they wish to pursue a profession as a DevOps engineer. Our apprentices gain hands-on training they can’t get elsewhere as they evolve towards becoming masters in their given area of focus. We’re looking for a dynamic program coordinator who can serve as a mentor and guide to the apprentices through their learning journey. We’re looking for a candidate who enjoys teaching/mentoring/coaching, is highly organized, has superior analytical and communication skills, and is self-starting with a high degree of autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of of the apprenticeship program, in collaboration with the Director of Research and Development
  • Manage the marketing efforts for the program, including outreach to university students, communication and building relationships with university faculty and departments to promote the program, attending career fairs, presenting to university classes, etc
  • Manage the recruitment and interview process for new apprentices, with support from the Liatrio talent acquisition team
  • Provide day-to-day mentoring, coaching and support to apprentices
  • Serve as a technical resource to the apprentices in areas of DevOps and the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Provide feedback regarding the apprentices’ individual growth and development
  • Assist in connecting apprentices with the work being done by Liatrio engineers on client engagements in meaningful ways to help further their learning and development
  • Understand the Liatrio business and work with PeopleOps and client delivery teams to maintain the apprentice to associate hiring pipeline

Requirements

  • Employment eligibility: must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
  • Be onsite in our Chico, California, office 32-40 hours per week during regular business hours
  • Travel: willing to travel 4-6 times a year
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Effective planning, organizing and communication skills
  • Very familiar with Google Workspace tools

Specifics

  • Full benefits including unlimited PTO, funded HSA option, and company bonus
  • Base salary: $60,000-$80,000
  • Relocation assistance available
