Operation Blessing – Virginia Beach, VA

Operation Blessing (OB) is looking for a Development Coordinator who will provide comprehensive support for the Major and Planned Gifts department by managing and organizing all donor care activities and supporting the field team, resulting in an excellent donor experience and enabling the team to secure funding for the ministry.

This position works onsite each day at our Virginia Beach office, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• At least 1 year of fundraising or development experience preferred
• Strong coordination support to meet non-profit development goals and objectives
• Critical thinker with strong research skills and ability to make sound recommendations
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to speak persuasively and interact effectively with reps, leadership and other stakeholders of the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams and experience with CRM software
• Strong ability to compose letters, edit documents, and create spreadsheets with critical attention to detail
• Strong organizational, planning and time management skills with keen attention to detail
• Flexible team player with ability to change direction and work focus quickly
• Ability to prioritize work and manage competing, distinct priorities
• Ability to discern when to work independently or in collaboration with team members in order to effectively meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, use sound judgment and utmost discretion
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience preferred
• Ability to travel for events as needed
