Role Summary

This staff member will join our Partnerships and Communications team, whose three-pronged role is to ensure the funding support needed to fuel the organization, build fierce momentum around our mission through creative and effective branding, and build win-win partnerships with multiple aligned organizations.  Within this team, the Development and Communications Associate will primarily own the Communications and Partnerships work, while also collaborating actively on other team projects.  We are looking for a passionate storyteller who can identify, curate, and amplify our impact, through stories and statistics, across various mediums.

Key Responsibilities:

Inputs to Strategy 

  • Contribute heavily to the 3-5 year evolving strategy for the Partnerships and Communications team – combining researched best practices with contextual innovation
  • Co-design approaches to establish and amplify iTeach’s brand presence within various education stakeholders
  • Develop metrics to measure the Communications team’s reach and depth of impact

 

Leading the Communications work

  • Develop relationships and networks to  expand coverage of our students and staff’s work, and the org mission, in India’s leading publications
  • Collaborate with different verticals (eg: schools, recruitment, government relations) to capture the voice of organisation and communicate it in a clear and compelling way across various platforms (including social media platforms) 
  • Design and create collaterals presenting iTeach’s impact through the year
  • Apply for suitable awards and accreditations for iTeach

Partnerships

  • Research, evaluate and recommend organisations that will make iTeach School’s program more impactful
  • Liaison with funding partners to conceptualize and execute various engagement events.

Experience & Competencies:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Media or Communications or Journalism or Humanities, or a related field.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of relevant experience in Media Houses(Digital or Print).
  • Preferred: Previous experience working in the development/education sector.
  • Required: Excellent proficiency in articulating impactful stories in various mediums.
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all Stakeholders.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, incredibly strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and critical reflection.
