Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we’re expanding our team.

MAP is undergoing a period of rapid and major growth, partly as a necessary response to the currently crisis in the occupied Palestinian territory. This role will provide additional management and leadership capacity at a crucial time and work closely with and deputise for the Director of WB. Also, the role will lead on the development and implementation of MAP emergency and long term programmes.

The successful candidate will have relevant, recent and substantial professional experience in the successful management of projects, budgets, resources and staff, preferably in a conflict, complex health-related context, including experience at a senior management level. We are looking for a candidate with a strong educational background and excellent literacy, numeracy and analytical skills. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in critical thinking, problem-solving and effective communication, demonstrated through relevant qualifications or equivalent experience. With at least five years’ experience at senior management level in a humanitarian context. Experience of living in the oPt is essential, As well as experience in programme management, design, risk assessment and security management. Experience working in voluntary sector or INGOs and in supporting the development of local organisations
