Deputy Country Director, Operations

The Opportunity

Plan International Burkina Faso are seeking a Deputy Country Director, Operations to lead, manage and develop a team of functional experts across procurement, administration, logistics, ICT, legal, finance and risk management who will support and enable the delivery of quality programming to create positive and long lasting change in the lives of children and girls in Burkina Faso.

Plan International Burkina Faso has a country annual budget turnover of almost €19 million, a team of almost 200 staff, a caseload of 52,000 sponsored children and a large grants portfolio from bilateral and multilateral donors including CIDA, KOIKA, European Union, GAC, etc.

About You

You bring demonstrable experience and knowledge of core procurement, logistics, administrative, financial and business management processes, standards and risks and proven experience of navigating and meeting donor compliance and management requirements.

You bring knowledge of key debates in development, particularly around child rights and of the geopolitical factors affecting child poverty in Burkina Faso and the political, social and economic opportunities for development.

Fluent English and strong working knowledge of written and spoken French are essential.
