Chemonics seeks a Deputy Chief of Party for the anticipated USAID Uzbekistan All Children Succeeding Activity. These positions will be based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Uzbekistan ACS Activity seeks to improve the learning outcomes of Uzbekistani primary school students by strengthening the capacity of education sector systems to provide quality learning environments with the instruction, materials and support that children need while they are in school, at home, or in the community. Equity and inclusion will serve as core principles of this activity; therefore, interventions will work to address the learning needs of children with disabilities and integrate Universal Design for Learning principles to ensure that approaches reach and support all children. This activity is currently on the USAID business forecast with an anticipated solicitation release date of January 25, 2023.
The DCOP will assist the Chief of Party in all aspects of project implementation, including leadership, technical direction, and management oversight for project activities and results. They will also manage day-to-day technical activities, ensuring that results are achieved on schedule and in line with USAID expectations, and maintain frequent communication with and be the primary technical contact for government officials and counterparts.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in education or a relevant field of study required
- Minimum 7 years of experience working in the field of education, preferably with donor-funded programs
- Prior experience with the development of early grade reading training programs, classroom monitoring protocols, and tests and assessments (including EGRA or similar tests) preferred
- Knowledge of the Uzbek education system is preferred
- Familiarity with, and comprehension of, core concepts in equitable education preferred.
- Experience overseeing administrative components of projects, such as procurement and human resources activities
- Professional experience in a management position on multi-component programs and demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team
- Experience as a Deputy Chief of Party for a previous USAID project preferred
- Fluency speaking, reading, and writing in English and either Russian or Uzbek
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
