JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing primary operational support to retail banking customers and bank personnel.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are essential job responsibilities:

1. Provide operational support to bank staff and retail banking customers as related to core and ancillary processing systems. This support includes data entry and research, as well as creative problem solving for retail deposit accounts including: Overdraft Protection Program, IRAs, & HSAs.

2. Efficiently and accurately process cashletter, exception items, and lockbox transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures.

3. Review account documents for completeness and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Ability to identify fraudulent items during daily review, and take appropriate follow up actions.

4. Provide necessary reporting to bank management and ensure accurate information is reported to government agencies for tax reporting purposes.

5. Utilize multiple systems concurrently. Understand communication and process flows to utilize programs in the most efficient manner.

6. Review daily reports and general ledger account reconciliations. Make correction/ adjustment entries as appropriate.

7. Assist with production/delivery of retail customer statements and notices.

8. Identify and suggest process improvements for all daily tasks and department functions. Serve as backup for ePayments Assistants, as necessary.

Education Required/ Preferred:

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience Required/ Preferred:

1 year related clerical and/or accounting experience. 2 years banking systems experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In compliance with the ADA, performance of this job requires certain physical demands. These demands are as follows but not limited to the ability to sit, stand and walk often throughout the day, constantly be able to operate with their hands and arms, occasionally ascend/descend flights of stairs, position themselves frequently throughout the day, communicate with other employees, able to examine their work and regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds while occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
