This position functions as a senior analyst within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Child Welfare Policy and Legislation section for Children’s Protective Services. The senior analyst will be responsible for ensuring policy objectives related to Children’s Protective Services are met. This position is also responsible for legislative analysis and drafting of statewide communications.

Required Education And Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.
Experience
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.

Position Location/Remote Office: The office location for this position is at 235 S. Grand Ave, Lansing, MI 48933 however, this position has the ability to work hybrid (remote/office). Selected candidates who have been approved to work hybrid must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Responsibilities
If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications.
- A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
- A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
- Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
As a Condition of Employment: this position requires successful completion of a background investigation and a criminal records check.
