Jugend Eine Welt

Main responsibilities

  • Represent Jugend Eine Welt in Moldova and Odessa
  • Project processing and -management according to the project cycle and the guidelines of Jugend Eine Welt (budgeting and budget control, monitoring, evaluation, reporting)
  • Support in planning of new programmes and development of programme proposals
  • Coordinate quality management process regarding national and international standards in the field of refugee aid, child protection and safeguarding and GBV
  • Networking with relevant actors and implementation partners in Moldova and Odessa as well as other cooperation partners and multipliers
  • Participate in UN Cluster meetings and other relevant networks
  • Observation of the developments in the region, reporting updates and relevant information, including photographs for public relations work in Austria
  • Organization and hosting of partner meetings and joint training for the partners
  • Coordinate visits from Jugend Eine Welt and donors

Skills and Experience

  • Identification with the goals and values of Jugend Eine Welt
  • Willingness to be stationed in Chişinău, Republic of Moldova
  • A minimum of three years of Project Management experience in development cooperation including operational planning, budgeting and monitoring
  • Proven experience in humanitarian aid and in the management of public and private funding
  • Experience with working in Southeastern Europe and gender know-how is an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English, knowledge of Russian, Ukrainian or Romanian is a strong advantage
  • Intercultural competence and experience abroad is an advantage
  • Empathetic and appreciative interaction with partners and donors
  • Good interpersonal skills and high degree of cultural sensitivity
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritize work and ensure a smooth flow of information
  • Willingness to travel to Ukraine on business
