Database and Insight Manager, PROSPECTUS

Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with our client to appoint their new Database and Insight Manager. Our client is a compelling international charity fighting against avoidable blindness and ensuring everyone has access to quality eye care, no matter where they live.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, this is a pivotal role responsible for the management of the Raiser’s Edge NXT database to support the marketing, supporter care and income processing activities of the fundraising and wider teams. The post holder will be responsible for championing the use of data and translating data requirements into practical solutions and meaningful insights. The Database and Insight Manager will utilise the data within the database to help deliver both income and high levels of supporter satisfaction. The successful candidate will disseminate database information to ensure that the organisation’s marketing and fundraising communications are effectively targeted and reach the right audiences. The post holder will also provide segmented data selections including GDPR compliant export data and of import of data clean flags into Raiser’s Edge, ensuring the integrity of the data and that it is delivered to specification in a timely and accurate manner.

We are looking for a Raiser’s Edge database expert with significant experience in a charity customer care, fundraising or non-profit marketing environment. To be successful, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, as well as an ability to work well in cross-departmental teams with technical and non-technical colleagues. You will have proven experience of performing data analysis in a relevant environment and you will have experience of database integration tools and providing insight solutions to internal customers. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. It is also essential to have good knowledge of GDPR and data protection legislation, PECR regulation and HMRC Gift Aid compliance. It would be desirable – but not essential – to have an understanding of NXT.
