Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Work closely with humanitarian clusters to check the accuracy and identify inconsistencies after report submission.
  2. Development of Excel-based applications in order to automate the process of data verification.
  3. Development of data verification methods based on sampling verification.
  4. Apply proof-reading methods to verify the entered data against the original requirements.
  5. Assist the collection, evaluation, analysis and dissemination of statistical data for related indicators.
  6. Assisting, developing, implementing, and managing statistical databases.
  7. Prepare graphs, trends, and tables to visualize the analysis of various indicators for reports and presentations.
  8. Assist in the preparation and deliver Training of Trainers (ToT) to national training officer.

Requirements

  • Education
  • Graduate of an Institute or University in the field of Information Technology, Information Management or Computer Sciences.
  • At least 5 years of working experience with complex data management processes
  • Experience
  • Advance University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines;
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in data science
  • A team player and ability to communicate in English;
  • Cultural and Gender awareness and sensitivity;
  • Flexibility and ability to work to tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently;
  • Technical facilities available to carry out above tasks;

  • Ability to coordinate with local administrators, government, NGOs working with community projects and agencies involved in mine-action.
  • Ability to work under pressure and long hours at different locations.

  • Strong knowledge of and experience in using in MS Excel, MS Access, VBA programming language
  • One or more years of professional work experience in PHP/Laravel web programming, including inter-connectivity with external databases.
  • Experience with GitHub or related source code version management systems
  • Experience working in data collection tools such as KoboToolBox, Open Data Kit etc.
  • Experience with databases such as mysql, postgresql, and mongo db.
