IRC-UK

Our European headquarters, IRC-UK, was established in London in 1997 to support the organisation’s global activities and particularly to diversify its donor base and to better advocate with European policy-makers on behalf of the people we serve. Since its establishment IRC-UK has grown rapidly and is now acknowledged for its high-quality project management, technical expertise in governance and rights and economic recovery, and innovative thinking on early recovery and gender based violence. IRC-UK comprises approximately 120 staff The IRC also has offices in Berlin, Bonn, Brussels, Stockholm and Geneva.

Role Summary

We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our Gift Processing team to help develop and improve our donors and donations data quality. The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for quality assurance and stewardship of data received from growing numbers of external and internal sources. S/he will be tasked with execution of data quality routines; and proactively monitor, measure, analyse, execute, track and report on data quality issues. The Data Quality Analyst work closely with Operation Analyst to p rovide ongoing support, training, and to multiple global teams, helping users to capture and extract high quality information from IRC’s systems.

Authority: The post holder does not manage any staff or have signing authority

Key Working Relationships

  • Reports to the Associate Director, Gift Processing

  • G lobal Fundraising Teams, including the mass markets, corporate partnerships and philanthropy and trusts & foundations teams
  • Global Finance Team
  • Global Gift Processing team members

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform daily constituent data quality control and other regular donation data hygiene review processes
  • Evaluate large dataset for quality and accuracy of donation data from all channels eg. ETL Integration, upload, Third-party Platform
  • Determine root cause for donation data quality errors and complexity of issue
  • Determine business impact level for quality issues and execute short and long-term solutions
  • Work closely with Gift Processing Manager and Operation Analyst in order to troubleshoot and develop process/steps that needed in order to control donation data issues
  • Analyse, query and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures
  • Identify, assess, monitor, document, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used
  • Ensure the security of private personal data
  • Create protocols to ensure adherence to data quality standards
  • Back up for other functions in the team, and participate in special projects as needed
  • Create and maintain dashboards for all gift processing operations to monitor operations, performance, and issues
  • Partner with the Associate Director, Gift Processing to set annual and regular project goals, deliverables and key outcomes for projects and work

P ERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience, Skills And, Knowledge

  • Direct experience with high transaction volume for a complex, large not-for-profit organization
  • Aptitude for research, root cause analysis and high standards for ensuring quality data
  • Experience with Salesforce NPSP
  • Strong knowledge in Excel
  • Passion for and commitment to ensure data quality and meticulous attention to detail
  • Broad knowledge of fundraising databases, workflows, and documentation
  • Non-profit and international humanitarian aid experience a plus
  • Demonstrated aptitude for analyzing and interpreting data and systems: ability to identify areas to increase efficiency a plus
  • Strong planning and prioritization to meet expected delivery dates and the tasks necessary to achieve objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive, collaborative, productive relationships with diverse key stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Sound judgment in maintaining confidentiality of donor and key internal business information
  • Passion for and commitment to the IRC’s mission

Language Skills: English (fluent).
