About The Team You Are Joining

You will be joining the Data Governance team which is part of IATA’s Information and Data (I&D) division.

We work to define and implement state-of-the-art data practices within our organization to make data and analytics more accessible, trustworthy, and actionable. Our goal is to maximize the investment in data and analytics initiatives. We promote the proper use of analytics in business processes, ensure accurate insights based on quality data, and reduce risks with security.

We are a dynamic, cohesive team that values professional experience and knowledge, while encouraging critical and innovative thinking.

You will report to the Data Security Architect and will interact both with the rest of the I&D division and the business stakeholders.

What Your Day Would Be Like

In your day-to-day, you will focus on developing data security procedures, leading their implementation, monitoring their adoption, and conducting data risk assessments. You will also have the chance to be part of several data-security related projects, shaping and maturing the IATA’s Data Security Framework.

Specifically, Your Main Responsibility Will Include

  • Prioritizing and developing data security procedures spanning a range of use cases and systems;
  • Leading the implementation and adoption of data security procedures;
  • Guiding the business along the path of data security with training and awareness materials;
  • Conducting data risk assessments for a range of systems and business processes;
  • Monitoring data access and encryption;
  • Advocating both the minimization of the data storage and the embedding of data security in the lifecycle of any project that includes data.

We would love to hear from you if

  • A master’s degree in a computing related discipline and/or relevant work experience;
  • At least a 5-year experience in GRC and/or data risk assessment;
  • Experience in working on data security policy enforcement;
  • Experience in identity access management;
  • Expert knowledge/experience with a broad range of data protection and information security controls, for both on-prem and cloud data storage;
  • Excellent English writing, speaking, and reading skills.
