Background

The data modelling analyst will support iMMAP country program with the development of IM frameworks and tools to process information from various clusters.

Description of Duties

  • Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Determining business requirements and responsible for creating completely new databases.
  • Developing database architecture for various humanitarian clusters in Ukraine.
  • Programming database algorithms.
  • Analyzing data sets and look for trends to improve database operations and provide insights about how to best use the existing data.
  • Optimizing database efficiency.
  • Automating database tasks.
  • Identifying relevant data sources for business needs.
  • Collecting structured and unstructured data.
  • Sourcing missing data.
  • Organizing data into usable formats.
  • Building predictive models.
  • Building machine learning algorithms.
  • Enhancing the data collection process.
  • Processing, cleansing & verifying of data.
  • Analyzing data for trends and patterns and finding answers to specific questions.

  • Operational

  • Compilation and processing of information on the flows and sectoral needs.

  • Prepare relevant data analysis

  • Identify and manage information exchange flows with key organisations or institutions that provide context information

Requirements

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, political science, social sciences and other similar areas
  • Experience
  • Background in the construction of information exchange agreements
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience, experience with the United Nations system and humanitarian work is desirable.
  • Soft skills
  • Excellent analytical capacity and clear writing
  • Effective communication skills to work among clusters, agencies and the government
  • Training capabilities to teach partners how to use the necessary tools
  • Good organizational skills to deliver products on time and with quality
  • Programmes
  • **Strong knowledge of and experience in using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript framework to develop interactive and responsive interfaces for use across platforms, devices, and browsers.
  • Proficient with JavaScript frameworks such as VueJS, React, Angular.
  • Familiar with UI layouts, SASS, Bootstrap, and the CSS GRID system
  • One or more years of professional work experience in PHP/Laravel web programming, including inter-connectivity with external databases.
  • Experience with build system such as Grunt, Webpack and etc.
  • Experience with GitHub or related source code version management systems
  • Experience with AJAX, JSON, REST
  • Experience with databases such as mysql, postgresql, and mongo db.
  • Experience with Data Visualization Tool such as D3.js, amcharts and etc.
