ACAPS
ACAPS is looking for a dynamic Data Engineer to join its Data Analytics team in Geneva.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The data engineer will support the ACAPS Natural Language Processing (NLP) project. ACAPS is developing a new tool to facilitate and speed up data collection of humanitarian indicators. The data engineer will support the development of the new NLP tool, working closely with the software development team.
We are looking for a dynamic data engineer that will support the development of new and established data infrastructure within ACAPS.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications and experience
- Post-graduate qualification in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics. Other degrees with relevant experience may be considered.
- At least 1 year of proven working experience on a similar role or an internship.
- Proficiency in programming with Python with a focus on machine learning libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
- Experience implementing end-to-end machine learning projects. Experience with natural language processing is a plus (e.g. NLTK, SpaCy, TextBlob, Gensim)
- Familiarity with Docker
- Familiarity with Git
- Experience with data stores such as Hadoop, Amazon S3, relational databases, Azure BLOB, Azure Data Lake store, and MS Azure DW
- Familiarity with database design development, data mining, data visualisation.
- Fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
