General Description of the Organization:

Ghiras Al-Nahda is a Non-profit Non-governmental humanitarian organization working to empower people by fulfilling their basic needs and seeking to improve community stability and resilience.

Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of Data Collectors is to gather accurate and reliable data through field surveys, interviews, or other data collection methods as required.

Data Collectors are responsible for adhering to data collection protocols, maintaining confidentiality, and interacting professionally with survey participants or interviewees.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field questionnaires or personal interviews according to the established data collection protocol.
  • Collect the required data accurately and effectively, while adhering to the specified schedule.
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the collected data and deal with it properly.
  • Communicate with participants and local communities professionally and respectfully during the data collection process.
  • Record important observations and provide periodic reports on the progress of the data collection process.
  • Collaborate with the research administration to understand data collection requirements and ensure the achievement of specified objectives.
  • Help develop data collection tools and provide feedback on improving them.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards while performing tasks related to data collection.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, a degree in a related field such as statistics or social sciences is preferred.

  • The applicant must have undergone previous training in data collection methods, research techniques, or related fields.

  • Previous experience in data collection or field research.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.

  • Ability to work under pressure and in multiple environments.

  • Organizational and time management skills to ensure tasks are completed according to schedule.

  • Good knowledge of data collection methods.

  • Ability to use various technological tools to collect data.

  • Commitment to professional ethics and proper handling of personal data.
