Job Purpose

The Data and Reporting Analyst brings analysis and reporting capabilities to the Control Testing and Monitoring unit to support the execution of risk-based internal control activities as well as present meaningful information and insights to help managers and stakeholders make better-informed decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collects data from various sources and organizes it into usable formats
  • Analyzes large or complex sets of data based on pre-defined criteria from test plans to summarize populations and to find patterns, deviations, inconsistencies and any other actionable insights for further testing
  • Incorporates analyzed data in the reviewers’ working papers and consolidates the corresponding results of the reviews performed
  • Designs and maintains rich interactive visualizations through dashboards or other relevant outputs that effectively presents results and performance indicators
  • Assists in developing, implementing and maintaining databases
  • Applies best practices, latest technologies or innovations, standards, guidelines and templates for data management and analytics
  • Assists in improving, developing and applying data quality monitoring processes, controls and tools
  • Ensures continuity and smooth transition of data entered into various system applications or tools
  • Contributes to the development of the data model and usage of the referential data that supports analysis
  • Creates and maintains appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process

Selection Requirements and Profile:

  • Must have a university degree or equivalent
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a relevant field
  • Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
  • Knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle and SAP
  • Knowledge of reporting & data visualization tools such as Business Objects, PowerBI and Tableau
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to learn other analytics tools
  • Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Strong analytical skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization, to identify trends, patterns and insights from data
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information
  • Strong presentation skills to write and speak clearly to easily communicate complex ideas in a way that is easy to understand
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English; Knowledge of other languages is an asset
