About the role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Analyst intern dedicated to interpreting data and analysing results using statistical techniques to support Tellow in business decisions. Our group is one of Europe’s largest platforms for professional services, we’re invested in adding transparency to the markets of accounting and legal services. Tellow is a disruptive, fast-paced company where IT is our core product.

As our Data Analyst, you will participate in data-driven projects and assist in creating key insights that will support us in making strategic business decisions. You will be working within our passionate product team, focusing on supplying crucial information and analytical data to help run and develop Tellow’s business.

In your internship you will learn how to provide direct business value from data, analyse large data sets to identify outliers and work on new processes that improve our product and services.

What you will be doing

As a Data Analyst intern you will:

  • Develop and implement data analyses and data collection systems
  • Create ongoing reports and dashboards
  • Present information using data visualisation techniques
  • Build, train and deploy predictive algorithms
  • Gather and combine data from multiple data sources
  • Interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets
  • Work closely with our Product Lead to continuously improve the product with your insights
  • Communicate your findings to team & business stakeholder

Requirements

What we are looking for

We look for candidates with a strong, analytical mind-set and a flair for numbers and details. If you are able to work independently, have a “can-do” attitude and thrive in a fast-paced business environment, then this position is for you. We also look for someone who is curious, proactive, and a quick learner. Your critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Ideally, you have experience with several data analytics and data visualisation tools, such as BigQuery.

We value professional experience as much academic experience. Perhaps you are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or another relevant field and are eager to use your learning in practice. To us, it is important that you are ambitious, pay attention to detail and accuracy and are all about facts, figures, and number crunching. We do not expect you to have previous working experiences, but we do expect you to be eager to develop yourself and learn quickly.

You would be perfect for this position when you:

  • Can start around September, October, November 2022
  • Can work from our office in Amsterdam, this is not a remote position
  • Have strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information
  • Have the ability to draw conclusion from your analyses
  • Have the ability to translate your findings into an understandable document and present your findings
  • Have knowledge of SQL and R
  • Have technical expertise regarding data models and data analysis
  • Have a problem solving attitude

This internship has a duration of ideally 6-9 months (minimum 3 months). There is a possibility of a part-time contract after the internship.

NOTE: We recognise that internship regulations vary depending on study programs, so we will discuss this in relation to your individual situation during the recruitment process as well as in relation to defining the amount of working hours for the position.
