Position: Data Analyst (full-time)
Location: Remote, global
Contract Term: 6 months with the possibility of extension Salary: USD 1,300 per month

HowToUse is a one-stop global resource for safe abortion, providing simple instructions on how to use the medical abortion pills in 27 languages. HowToUse also provides country-specific profiles for safe abortion resources, online abortion training courses for providers, and a virtual assistant chatbot, Ally, available to chat in five languages across the website, Facebook, and WhatsApp.

THE OPPORTUNITY
WFD is looking for a passionate data analyst who is capable of extracting, synthesizing and compiling, and analyzing trends from multiple data-sets to better understand our users’ self- care journeys, needs, and use of our digital products. Additionally, this person will also be responsible for designing appropriate research methods to effectively track and measure this journey.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in all aspects of qualitative and quantitative data analysis, including mining, storing, generation, and visualization. The position will also guide WFD’s internal teams to transition its internal analytics to Google Analytics 4, and support the team to store historical data.
Additionally, this person should be able to identify key patterns, interpret trends, and ensure data accuracy and quality.
This position is fully remote and can be done from any location with reliable internet service. This is a full-time employee position and is open to nationals of any country.
Key responsibilities:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for the following:

Extract data from multiple internal data sources, and use statistical tools to organize, process, clean, validate and analyze the data.

Design both qualitative and quantitative data collection tools and processes to better understand users’ online and offline self-care journeys.

Export, store, maintain and organize WFD’s historical Google Analytics (Universal) data in preparation for GA4 migration.

Formulate insights and summarize and synthesize patterns and trends; Create presentations and reports based on findings including baseline and impact assessment reports.

Identify new opportunities for insights and analytics using data and creativity.

identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes.

Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new/existing data sources and data-gathering
techniques.

Standardize and maintain data sources used across the organization.

Maintain all organizational datasets and develop processes and tools that will make our
data evaluation process more flexible and scalable.

Work closely with project managers to understand and maintain focus on key analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs.
Position requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in data (qualitative and quantitative) extraction and mining, database design development and data synthesis, and segmentation techniques using statistical tools.
- Experience in research, with a good knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics’ data model (Universal and GA4).
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at report writing and presenting findings to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with database querying and visualisation tools.
- Available to work 40 hours per week (full-time).
- Must be fluent in written and oral English; knowledge of French/Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to work without supervision; highly self-disciplined.
- Highly organized, proactive, and innovative.
- Must have a laptop and personal phone with stable and strong internet connection.
