Currently enrolled in undergraduate school with an upcoming completion of a bachelor’s degree. Must be able to work 10-40 hours per week while completing degree.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Good project management skills
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills
Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary duties and responsibilities will be defined as needed by the functional area where the incumbent is located.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors security blogs for information related to external cyber security incidents
- Gathers, organizes, and maintains data for reporting
- Assists in security assessments, runs reports, and documents gaps
- Performs security monitoring to uncover possible security violations (e.g., breaches, unauthorized activity)
- Responds to security alerts and escalates critical incidents to correct support teams
- Participates in incident response exercises
- Assists in forensic investigations
- Works with teams to resolve issues with security tools
- Gathers and produces information security metrics
- Interfaces regularly with staff from various departments regarding security issues and Cybersecurity requests
- Performs related duties as assigned
