Cyber Security IT Intern – Summer 2023

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Cyber Security IT Intern at the Global Corporate Headquarters located at 24 Schilling Road, Hunt Valley, Maryland. This is a 10-week internship (June 2023 – August 2023) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

McCormick & Company, Inc., a global leader in the spice, flavor, and seasonings industry, is seeking a full-time Cyber Security Intern on the Cyber Security Engineering Team. The Cyber Security Intern will report to the Cyber Security Engineering and Operations Manager. This is a 10-week internship (June 2023- August 2023) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn McCormick Network Security landscape and standards
• Identify and report deviations in network security configurations against standards and baselines using management and monitoring tool
• Participate in installation, upgrade, and configuration of network firewalls, proxy services, and VPN connectivity
• Work with team members to review operational performance and status on key projects

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a target graduation date between December 2023 and June 2024.
• Cyber Security and Cloud (Azure, AWS) certifications preferred but not required
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate complex issues and conduct root cause analysis to resolve problems
• Must be able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of information security
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
• Ability to visualize results and present to peers and business partners
• Ability and curiosity to learn new technology
