About the Job
Parker Gas Company, a leader in the propane industry is currently seeking an experienced and motivated credit manager to oversee and manage our company’s overall credit process. The ideal candidate will review credit applications to determine credit worthiness and reduce financial loss by following our credit policy.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customer
- Review current credit status for customers placing orders for goods or services
- Review and update the company’s credit policy
- Monitor customer credit balance for delinquent payments
- Contact customer with overdue balances for collection
- Review company credit policy and incorporate updates as needed
- Represent the company involving civil court cases to settle delinquent or challenged accounts
- Communicate with customer service and dispatching regarding customer credit status
Education and Experience:
- Proven work experience in a credit manager role
- Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent experience
- One or more years of experience in the propane industry preferred
- Good customer service skills
- Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Act
