DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Prime Video Marketing team is looking for a passionate and hardworking Creative Director to build world-class campaigns for their brand, shows and movies.

You will work in close collaboration with various creative folks (external and internal), multiple channel owners and collaborate with them to build campaigns that resonate high impact, big thinking and customer delight. You will own work streams across mediums and languages.

If you’re brimming with ideas, nimble at work and are able to convert your insights into successful campaigns, this role is for you. You have the ability to think big picture while not overlooking the details. You are a master at receiving creative feedback, guiding and collaborating with direct vendors, and are skilled at managing fast-paced projects, and have a high bar for creative excellence.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop innovative marketing experiences that help tell meaningful stories, which connect to customers and communities to drive awareness and viewership of Amazon Prime Video.
  • Build a creative campaign team to deliver high-quality creative.
  • Think across platforms and channels, mastering the attributes of each to create tailored content and conversations across each channel for total ecosystem engagement.
  • Manage external teams to produce short form promotional and editorial content (e.g., trailers, TV spots, digital content, etc.)
  • Edit promotional content in the range of :30 promos, to trailers, to long form.
  • Have a firm grasp of on-set etiquette along with strong production knowledge experience.
  • Effectively build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, as well as talent.
  • Read and review scripts to identify content/scenes for shoot.
  • Grasp cultural nuances to build English, Hindi and vernacular campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Creative Producers to overcome constraints and deliver quality work.
  • Work with external agencies to deliver high-level creative.
  • Participate in planning and preparing campaign budgets.
  • Supervise projects, timelines.
  • Represent the Creative Marketing team at meetings, providing meaningful input to best support a campaign.
  • Manage deadlines and budgets.

A day in the life

You are managing multiple campaigns, switching between scripts, budgets and edits. You quickly solve for production related hiccups. We expect you to work with multiple agencies, collaborate with multiple teams and share knowlege with teammates.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in creative roles at a creative agency, editorial publication with understanding of creative development and production.
  • Hands-on knowledge in creative skills like sriptwriting, shooting, lighting, editing. Academic knowledge is a plus.
  • A strong portfolio of work showing creative invention with the ability to articulate big and breakthrough ideas across disciplines.
  • Fluency with contemporary social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok), technologies, and trends including experience concepting and producing content.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and problem solve working in a fast-paced environment and maintain a super sharp attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills and confident communication skills.

  • Strong written skills
  • An excellent communicator, able to influence broader business leaders.
  • Ability to elevate and help inspire the creative output of our internal and external partners (creative agency and production partners) to ensure campaigns meet a high-level of creativity and innovation.
  • Experience directing and managing development of multiple creative assets including key art, trailers, editorial video content, social content etc across multiple creative disciplines.
  • Entertainment industry experience (e.g. movies, tv, digital, etc).
  • Relentlessly high standards with impeccable attention to detail.
