Cover Supervisor – Boothroyd Primary Academy

Boothroyd Primary Academy is a three-form academy serving over 640 pupils from the local Dewsbury community and judged by OFSTED as a Good school with Outstanding features. “ As a result of inclusive leadership, precise assessment and high-quality teaching, children make outstanding progress” (OFSTED Mar 2019). We are also the first school to be awarded “therapeutic schools” status and believe we have created a wonderful, calming environment for our children.

We are keen to appoint a creative and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to cover staff absence and training days. You will be required to cover all subjects and all key stages in this role, though it will predominantly be covering Key Stage 2 classes. We are seeking a strong candidate with a high level of initiative and good classroom management skills.

You will be an enthusiastic individual who is able to use your own initiative whilst also being able to relate well and establish a rapport with young people. You will need to be flexible and able to work constructively as a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities. The successful candidate will be fully supported in their career and professional development through a vast programme of CPD provided by the academy.
