The Country Representative will support ABA ROLI’s office operations in Egypt focusing on registration, banking and finance, business development, by setting up meetings, translations/interpretation, note taking, discussions, and other as needed support.

Responsibilities

· Oversight of office financial functions including prepare the cash forecast, expense reports, all documents related to the financial statements, oversee petty cash and reconcile all bank accounts;

· Maintain office records and files including salary, taxes and insurance for him/herself and any other local staff;

· Manage procurement process and purchases, vendor payments, taxes, etc. in full compliance with Field Financial Operations Manual and ABA policies including medical insurance for local staff;

· Oversee the office inventory for all purchases;

· Responsible for government relations including work to obtain foreign staff work permits and residency documents and coordination with Ministries on registration issues;

· Liaise with local counsel, landlord, accountant, and bank on ensuring adherence to local requirements on office operations;

· Support new business efforts by setting up meetings, translating/interpreting, note taking and discussions;

· General coordination of office activities as needed and other assistance as requested by the MENA Director;

· Any other relevant duties assigned by Employer for the purpose of accomplishing the goals the ABA ROLI Office Operations in Egypt.

Qualifications

· A University Bachelor’s degree in management & administration, commerce or finance;

· At least 10 years of experience in finance and operations, experience with banking and accounting required.

· Experience with general auditing principles and standards, internal controls, procurement regulations, forecasting and budgeting, local labor law, and supervision;

· Experience working with foreign donors, preferably US government-funded projects;

· Advanced skills in QuickBooks or Chrome River, or other accounting software, Excel, and Word;

· Fluent Arabic and English language required;

· Egyptian citizenship required.
