We are excited to be looking for next Country Director for Türkiye, you will lead the Senior Management Team to ensure we can deliver our activities.

This is an office-based role in Gaziantep, Türkiye, open to candidates globally and relocation support provided.

Working closely with Relief International’s Syria mission supporting displaced communities and overseas the Area Office to support Northwest Syria from Gaziantep.

Relief International has been implementing programming in Türkiye since 2016 and is currently actively engaged in the response to the protracted refugee crisis in Türkiye.

Currently, Relief International’s portfolio in Türkiye focuses on physical rehabilitation, inclusion, mental health, and livelihoods with programs spanning several areas in the country.

A critical part of this role will be to prioritize the financial and resource sustainability for our program goals, proactively identifying and pursue dynamic and out of the box fundraising opportunities, and building diverse networks.

Ensure the quality project implementation, allocate resources, and maintain controls through collaboration with program managers. With a current annual project budget of approximately $4.5 million.

Providing leadership of Program and Functional Country Team leaders which includes 8 direct reports and oversight of a total of approximately 65+ staff; you will lead and manage this diverse team of staff and indirect workers, ensuring compliance with local laws and the safety of our people.

Your responsibilities will be:

· Ensure financial sustainability through strategic alignment with program goals, proactive pursuit of growth opportunities, and building diverse networks.

· Oversee project implementation, allocate resources, and maintain controls through collaboration with program managers.

· Lead and manage diverse staff, ensuring compliance with local laws and safety protocols.

· Ensure team efficiency, effectiveness, and optimal performance, leading to high-quality, on-time, on-budget program completion and achievement of objectives.

· Actively engage in high-level meetings, lead disaster responses, facilitate donor visits, and represent RI in INGO forums.

· Represent RI as focal person on a national, regional, and international level with external stakeholders, including humanitarian partners, donors, and authorities.

You will bring the following experience and skills.

· Knowledge and understanding of international development context in Türkiye

· Fundraising experience with private foundations

· Solid background and knowledge of business development and grant management with key institutional donors

· Progressive professional experience in lead management implementing emergency response programs in a complex setting

· Masters or Degree qualified or brings equivalent work experience

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and strategic planning skills required to ensure stewardship and cultivation of relationships

· Strong English communication skills

· Excellent organisational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently; time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail as well as strategic oversight

· A good people manager, understanding and setting a workplace culture for safety and performance
