UN Volunteers

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Protection Coordinator or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer Counter-Trafficking Assistant will:

• Assist with the implementation of activities and information campaigns focused on protection, especially counter-trafficking;

• Assist with the preparation of situational and monitoring project reports on activities as assigned;

• Provide administrative support to projects;

• Interact with relevant project partners and stakeholders;

• Attend relevant internal meetings;

• Communicate and coordinate with other IOM missions on counter-trafficking, exchange CT best practices;

• Assist with the development of new projects and expansion of existing projects;

• Assist with the creation and update of IOM social media content with focus on CT posts;

• Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Results/expected outputs:

• As an active IOM Prague team member, efficient, timely, responsive, client-friendly and high-quality support rendered to IOM and its beneficiaries in the accomplishment of her/his functions, including:

o After the first 3 months, the UNV has good knowledge of IOM values as well as internal processes. The UNV adhered to IOM values during her/his assignment and acted in a representative manner both in and outside the office;

o Support was provided during project development phases of counter-trafficking projects, as well as currently active ones;

o Relationships with Czech NGOs, state agencies as well as UN agencies active in counter-trafficking have been well maintained for the purpose of coordination and knowledge sharing;

o Over the period of the assignment, at least 5 articles or longer posts about counter-trafficking were created for IOM Czechia website and social media;

• Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) perspective is systematically applied, integrated and documented in all activities throughout the assignment;

• A final statement of achievements towards volunteerism for peace and development during the assignment, such as reporting on the number of volunteers mobilized, activities participated in and capacities developed.
