Job Description

We are looking for an attorney who specializes in providing legal and regulatory guidance regarding the Investment Company Act of 1940 related to registered open-end, closed-end and exchange-traded funds. You will interact regularly with other functional groups in Allspring, including teams responsible for product development, product management, operations, risk, and compliance. You will be responsible for the drafting of various materials, including fund board presentations, fund policies and procedures, and fund agreements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will be responsible for the drafting of various materials, including fund board presentations, fund policies and procedures, and fund agreements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice law and a member of good standing.
  • 4+ years of investment management practice experience.
  • Expert knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and other federal securities laws.
  • Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and strong analytical skills with ability to provide practical advice relating to complex regulatory matters.
  • Collegial with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; and ability to provide constructive challenge to colleagues and partners.
  • Ability to be proactive, solutions driven and flexible to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly motivated and result-oriented personality with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
