The role of Lead – Corporate Social Responsibility, North America will work with all areas of the CSR NA Team; including employee volunteer program management and community engagement to impact local communities, as well as support the philanthropic initiatives in US and Canada. Support CSR Employee Engagement and Thought Leadership Initiatives across North America.

Employee Engagement

  • Work on strategic plans for enhancing the employee engagement experience at TCS NA and growing overall metrics. Work with team members to communicate the stories and opportunities available.
  • Manage and grow the CSR Champion Network across North America.
  • Co-lead the TCS NA Civic Leadership Program, Leaders with Purpose (content, structure, and partners) and grow TCS participation.
  • Deliver weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting on TCS CSR metrics, including mapping efforts to the Sustainable Development Goals for all of NA.

Representation and Thought Leadership

  • Represents TCS at internal and external CSR events, grows TCS Thought Leadership footprint and with respect to the UN Sustainable Development Agenda and the Future of Work.
  • Liaises with government, NGO and community representatives to increase TCS’ brand footprint.
  • Provides expertise on key policy issues related to TCS’ agenda through briefings of key officials and other relevant actors, and participation in working groups, conferences and roundtable events.
  • Conducts research on priority topics surrounding current and upcoming programming.
  • Support the communication of results, outcomes, and social impact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of content, assets, and resources on issues relevant to the organization
  • Explore appropriate channels to distribute the content and manage relationships with diverse groups
  • In coordinating with representatives of the partner network to ensure roles and responsibilities, as laid out, are addressed; goals and deliverables are met in the established timelines.
  • With monitoring and updating of the Digital Empowers microsite, work with the design teams on updates, as needed.
  • To collaborate with teams, internal and external, to identify speakers for forums, and support coordination on all aspects of program delivery working with a cross functional internal team.
  • With end-to-end event logistics, program delivery, insights development and partner management.

Key Responsibility Areas Include

  • Manage relationships with internal audiences including CSR Champions and HR Engagement partners, central Communications teams, and senior leaders, sharing message that links social responsibility to core business strategy as well as to the program goals.
  • Engage and help manage the CSR Champion Network and Leaders with Purpose network.
  • Assist with soliciting volunteers for signature STEM education programs (goIT & Ignite My Future) and other volunteer initiatives based on AOP.
  • Support management multiple value streams, geography integrations ensuring all deadlines are met and stakeholders are satisfied with the quality of result, take in instant feedback provided and troubleshoot issues that may arise during program delivery.
  • Work well in a virtual environment, working most closely to support Employee Volunteer and Thought Leadership programmatic efforts to collaborate on short and long-term programmatic goals.
  • Work well with a diverse cross functional team and can collaborate on shared goals.
  • Expand the thought leadership space and invest in developing TCS’ expertise in the tech for social impact arena.
  • Be organized to ensure clear and consistent reporting on program performance, efficiency and impact against annual operating plans and key performance indicators.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 – 8 years’ combined experience in community engagement, project management and Corporate Social Responsibility.
  • Strong analytical skills, superior written and verbal communication and sound judgment to plan and accomplish individual and team goals.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to initiate and maintain cross-team relationship s.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to be resourceful and work independently in a deadline driven environment.
  • Experience working within the nonprofit and public sectors desired.
  • Demonstrated event and program planning preferably with a record of high impact events and policy interaction.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and matrix environment.
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely or in a hybrid manner from a TCS office in either Edison, NJ or other. Will be confirmed as ongoing risks posed from pandemic are made clear.
  • Eagerness to travel across the United States and Canada when travel resumes (anticipated up to 25% travel).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.
