This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team that will amplify the presence of mothers2mothers (m2m) in North America. Based in New York City (preferably), Los Angeles, or San Francisco, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will support the development work of the North America team through growing corporate partnerships, new business and elevating the brand profile of m2m. Building on m2m’s existing corporate initiatives, this position will help to create a cohesive yearly strategy and deliver a program that grows unrestricted and restricted revenue while effectively engaging and retaining supporters. The Manager will support the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship for a portfolio of prospects and donors with a focus on developing the pipeline.

**Key Performance Areas:
Corporate Partnerships Development **

  • Support the U.S. development strategy and achieve personal revenue target defined by the North America Director and Development Director.
  • Provide support for Development Director to identify and build the corporate partnership pipeline; cultivate, retain and upsell existing corporate partners.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of diverse corporate partnerships as Relationship Manager, and capitalize on new partnership opportunities within our existing portfolio of partners.
  • Conduct research and generate profiles, and market analyses, for corporate prospects, including constant monitoring of news and developments within private sector and CSR.
  • Create opportunities for corporate engagement—including the creation of pitches and materials for cause-related marketing, sponsorships, events, employee matched giving campaigns and matching challenges, employee engagement & fellowship offerings, and creating internal processes to support the execution.
  • Support a pivot from transactional approaches to the private sector to transformational partnerships through dialogue and robust project management with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support a diversification of funding and partnerships by generating leads and delivering partnerships, with a focus on Health & Pharmaceuticals, Next Generation & Adolescents and Early Childhood Development, Digital & Tech, Women & Consumer Goods, and Economic Empowerment & Financial Services.

Administration & Support for Corporate Pod

  • Provide support for and create processes for the Corporate Advisory & Development Committee (CADC) globally to leverage new business opportunities and support existing partners with focus on North America members, including research, content generation, design and execution of meetings, content, and reporting, and internal reporting.
  • Provide support for the North America Director and Development Director to engage and leverage Board members and their networks, including research, relationship mapping, generation of materials, and Board-facing communications.
  • Responsible for robust tracking and recording of all relationships, leads, and financial data in Salesforce for corporate partners and prospects, including development of reporting, moves management, and relationship mapping to ensure adherence to deadlines and optimization of opportunities.
  • Lead on note-taking and project management for execution of deliverables on all corporate-related opportunities both internally and externally.
  • Support corporate partner and third-party events to build m2m presence and engage new and existing supporters.

Marketing & Influencer Support

  • Play a key role in adapting and packaging m2m content for a corporate audience, in line with m2m’s North America and global strategy. This will include development of collateral such as corporate messaging, presentation decks, one-pagers, talking points, films, social media posts, blog posts, etc.
  • Collaborate with U.S. and Global Resource Mobilization teams on campaigns, including International Women’s Day, Mother’s Day, and End-of-Year to provide U.S. and corporate-specific insights and generate opportunities for corporate audiences.
  • In close collaboration with Global Resource Mobilization and Communications Team colleagues in the U.S. and U.K., conduct U.S.-based influencer research and mapping, and develop and execute an outreach strategy for influencers including celebrities, bloggers, social media influencers, well-networked executives, etc.
  • Support community fundraising efforts and develop content and marketing material, in consultation with the communications and events teams.
  • Manage and update charity certifications, including Charity Navigator, Better Business Bureau, and GuideStar, and identify and apply for new certifications, in consultation with North America Team and Senior Communications Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Communications Manager to provide support on broader content generation for external audiences.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • At least 2 – 3 years of development experience, with preference for corporate partnerships.
  • Proven track record of increasing organizational revenue through effective communication
  • Experience with consumer marketing and/or digital fundraising a plus.
  • Experience designing presentations and assets.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and work with budgets.
  • Exceptional written communications skills and solid verbal presentation skills.
  • Highly computer literate, to include Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as familiarity with CRM databases, Salesforce a plus;
  • Highly developed project management skills with the ability to work on own initiative, accurately to tight deadlines, and to prioritize between conflicting demands.
